Compare two ages
Frequently asked
How is my exact age calculated?
We take your date and (optional) time of birth, compare it to the current moment, and break the difference into years, months, days, hours, minutes, and seconds. The seconds keep ticking live on the page.
Why does the second counter never stop?
Because time doesn't either. The number you see updates every second using your browser's clock — no servers involved, no data sent anywhere.
Is my birthday stored or shared?
Never. The calculation happens client-side after you enter your date. We don't log or transmit your date of birth.
How accurate are the cosmic stats (heartbeats, breaths, etc.)?
They're estimates based on average resting rates: 72 beats/min for the heart, 16 breaths/min, 17 blinks/min. Treat them as a fun order-of-magnitude figure.
What about leap years and daylight saving?
Leap years are handled correctly. DST shifts are smoothed by working in your local timezone — your age in seconds is calculated from absolute UTC milliseconds.
Can I use this on my phone?
Yes. The whole site is responsive and the live counter works in any modern browser.
